Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a warranty?

We sure do! And in fact, we're confident it’s the best warranty you’ll find. We offer a lifetime warranty against rust on all of our aluminum dog agility components (think A-Frames, Teeter Totters, etc) as well as a five year warranty against defects in workmanship or materials. The Dog-ON-It-Parks’ warranty is subject to normal use and proper installation/maintenance of the equipment. Our warranty does not cover vandalism, man-made or natural disasters (however our equipment successfully withstood Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy!), incorrect installation, lack of maintenance, normal wear and tear, and normal weathering/fading. Any questions? Ask us!

How are your dog park agility products different than your competitors?

We know dogs! Unlike our competitors, who have just adapted children's playground components for dog parks or are selling products made with wood or slippery plastic, or GASP! products made in China, we've designed each dog park agility component from top to bottom specifically for our four-legged friends. However, the biggest difference between our products and the competition are the materials we use which are all rust-resistant. Dog parks are corrosive environments and between inclement weather, and well...dogs just being dogs...you want to make sure your investment won't rust or deteriorate.

We also use our proprietary textured coatings on all ramp surfaces for slip resistance and none of our products have step strips or unsafe perforations that could potentially injure a dog. For instance, our teeter totter was designed so it moves quietly and lands gently (to not scare shy dogs), and it's weighted so one end is always at ground level. Our dog park products are fun, exceptionally durable, and most importantly, safe.

For more information, please see our tips on how to select quality dog park equipment.

Can I place a custom order with different colors?

Yes! Though we use standard colors that are safe and appropriate for training and a dog’s eyesight, we do have several color options available for most of our agility components.

We want you to be satisfied, so if you’re interested in a custom order, contact one of our dog park specialists for more information on customizing dog park equipment for your community.

Can your agility equipment be used indoors?

They sure can! Our products were designed primarily for outdoor use, but have also been installed on rooftops, converted tennis courts, and indoor dog parks. If you have a special installation situation, please call us for options or just select the surface mount plate add-on option to your order.

Where are your products made?

All of our products are made here in the United States where we can ensure that they are manufactured to our high quality standards. All of our agility components are exclusive to Dog-ON-It-Parks and are fabricated using precision laser cutters and CNC routers near Seattle, Washington (Go Huskies & Go Hawks!).

Is the assembly and installation difficult?

No, because we always provide clear assembly and installation instructions with your order including a parts checklist and recommended tools. If you can put together Ikea furniture, our equipment will be a snap! Usually, the hardest part of an installation is digging the holes for the footings— not the assembly process itself. Most installations only require concrete footers and surface mount plates are available if you're converting a tennis court, building a rooftop dog park or installing on some other hard surface. If you ever have any questions, we’re always happy to help.

What if I don’t have enough room for a complete system? Can you help me arrange individual components to fit my space?

Absolutely. Our design experts are happy to help you select just the right pieces to fit in your dog park—regardless of the size of your area. We also have several dog park packages available, including some for smaller spaces.

How do I order?

It’s easy! Either place your order online with a credit card or PO (government agencies/multi-family only) or contact one of our dog park specialists for assistance.  Please note that many of our items have flat rate shipping and for the items that do not, we always require your approval of the final charges before processing payment. If you’ve been working with one of our dealers, please let us know so we can give them credit!

NOTE: Customers are responsible for paying their own local and state taxes.

How are your products shipped?

Our smaller items ship via UPS Ground, but our larger items such as the A-Frame, Dog Walk Ramp, etc and most site furnishings are typically delivered by truck freight. We require that the freight company makes a delivery appointment with you and you may need a loading dock, pallet jack, or forklift to receive your delivery. The driver is only responsible for getting the freight to the end of the truck. Large orders may be shipped in crates for protection during shipping.

Is your website secure?

Yes. Protecting your personal information is very important to us. Our website uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology—widely considered to be the most secure—for safe credit card transactions.

We will NEVER sell or give away any email addresses or personal information. We don’t like spam or junk emails either!

What if I need to cancel my order or make a return/exchange?

Cancellations are subject to timing. What does that mean exactly? If cancelled early, prior to manufacturing, there may not be any fees. However, certain products, including anything that requires engineering such as shade shelters and custom designs, are subject to design/drawing fees which are non-refundable. Orders cancelled during or after the manufacturing process are subject to applicable restocking fees (a minimum of 25%), plus all return freight charges if product has shipped to you. Please note that custom or made-to-order products are not returnable and non-refundable. Please call us directly at 877-348-3647 or email sales@dogonitparks.com with any questions.

Do you ship outside the US?

Yes, we've shipped equipment to Australia, Canada, Guam, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore (to name a few!) and several other countries around the world! You’re welcome to use your own shipping carrier and broker, or we can help find a competitively priced one for you.

Is your agility equipment certified by any organizations such as the USDAA or AKC?

No, and for a very good reason.  Dog-ON-It products are designed specifically for recreational level use only, to be safe for the average family pet. Our equipment is a great way to introduce your dog to agility, as the exercise components are not as challenging as competitive agility and allow you and your pet to exercise safely together. Beware of dog park companies making statements about agility certifications; if their products are designed to USDAA or AKC standards, they're not safe for the everyday park user and there are no dog park agility certifications either, so keep an eye out for those claims as well!

We care about your dog's safety - and yours. Please consult your physician and veterinarian before beginning any exercise program.

What is the difference between your PawsGrip™ coating and the finish used by other companies?

PawsGrip™ is a polyurea based finish that when sprayed on provides heavy-duty texture just like the super durable Rhino Liners™ used on truck beds.

In comparison, polyethylene is a very thin coating (commonly used on wire shelves in refrigerators!) that requires the addition of sand or grit to reduce its slickness. At Dog-ON-It, we use our special PawsGrip™ on all walking surfaces for durability and maximum slip resistance - even in snow, mud and ice!

Are your dog-park products ADA accessible? And what about environmentally friendly?

Yes, and yes. The two most important elements of ADA accessibility are providing accessible routes up to the dog park and accessible surfacing within the dog park.

Engineered Woof Fiber® and artificial turf are both excellent solutions and meet ADA requirements. Once in the dog park, all Dog-ON-It-Parks agility components and site furnishings can be used by people with varying abilities.

Whenever practical, we use recycled plastic and recycled aluminum, and 100% of the metal scrap from manufacturing gets recycled. (See also our EcoDog product line.)

I've never designed a dog park before.  Can you help?

We sure can! Our team of dog park experts have years of experience and will guide you through the entire design process.  We'll discuss ideal locations (and can even scout them out in person!), grading, accessibility and surfacing considerations, fencing, dog park safety, and what agility components and amenities make the most sense with your budget.  For more visual folks, we offer 2D and 3D layouts as well.
